Will I receive a notification when my sidewalk submission has been fixed?

No, you will not receive a notification when your sidewalk submission has been fixed.

 

What should I do if I know that a sidewalk has been fixed but I already sent in a picture?

If you know that a sidewalk has been fixed, send us an email via our CONTACT US page and let us know! We will then verify this information before updating the map

 

Will the map be updated with sidewalks that have been fixed?

Yes. The SidewalkSnap Team will update the map after verifying that a sidewalk has been fixed or after being notified by the by proper authorities that a sidewalk has been fixed. A separate notification will not be sent to the person who submitted the photo.

 

What is SidewalkSnap and how does it work?

Where can I submit pictures from?

Anyone, anywhere, can submit photos. If you SEE a broken sidewalk, SNAP a pic and SEND it using SidewalkSnap.com. However, only photos within the designated New York City area will be posted at this time.

 

Do I need to live in New York City to use SidewalkSnap?

No. Anyone can post photos of broken sidewalks found in New York City.

 

I took a PIC of a broken sidewalk and went to SEND it, but my submission isn’t going through. What should I do?

How long will it take for a sidewalk to be fixed after I submit my picture?

If you are located in New York City, please review the following for more detailed information: New York City’s Administrative Code.

 

If I SEE a broken sidewalk where tree roots have damaged the sidewalk, should I SNAP a pic and SEND it?

Yes. If you SEE tree roots that have caused damage to a sidewalk, SNAP a pic and SEND it using SidewalkSnap.com so that the SidewalkSnap Team can notify the responsible party.
